Individual health insurance plans in Pennsylvania offer affordable medical coverage to persons that are not covered under an employer-provided policy. A wide variety of policies are offered to suit everyone’s needs. We proudly represent the major health care providers in the state and offer policies at the most competitive published rates. And you never pay any fees.
Instantaneously, you can research and find the most affordable individual health insurance plans in Pennsylvania. Policies for students, individuals, families, the self employed, the uninsured or anyone on Cobra are available. Pahealthinsurance.com is the main trusted resource for personal and family Pennsylvania health insurance plans. Whether you live in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Allentown or any other part of the state, you can compare or apply online for private coverage at the top of the page. We research hundreds of available policies and attempt to condense your choices to make it easier to find the policy that meets your needs and allows you to pick the benefits that aid you the most.
The latest state-of-the-art software allows you to quickly choose the type of coverage you need and select when you want the policy to be effective. After a few minutes, you can review the specifics of the best available plans and apply online. Physicals are typically not required and the process usually takes less than two weeks. But just as importantly, you can speak to the same person (live) as often as you like to assist you in the comparison and application process. Or, you can simply handle the process yourself.
Pennsylvania short-term health insurance plans are the most affordable type of coverage. Premiums are substantially lower than comprehensive PPO or HMO policies and policies are typically approved within 24-72 hours. Short-term plans are most appropriate for graduating students, the unemployed, the uninsured, persons on Cobra or persons waiting to become eligible for Medicare. Policies can be purchased for a month or as long as a year. If you still need coverage after a year, if there are no health issues, an application can be submitted to another carrier. Usually, you can keep temporary plans for about a year with each company.
Individual Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) are growing in popularity in Pennsylvania. This type of coverage features substantial premium savings, tax-savings, preventive benefits that are covered with little or no out-of-pocket expense and possible 0% coinsurance after the deductible. An HSA works with a “high deductible” health insurance policy and all of your contributions into the HSA are tax-deductible. These contributions can be used to pay qualified medical dental and vision expenses. Personal HSA rates are very low compared to most group plans. We highly encourage you to consider this type of policy. Of course, we’ll help with the research to determine which company has the best offer for you. Often, Blue Cross (Blue Shield) has solid rates.

Thanks for making it easy for me to compare. I’m leaning towards a HealthAmerica HSA. I’ll email you at your contact page.
I was pleased to learn that individual Pa health rates are much lower that Virginia’s.

Individual rates aren’t as bad as I thought. I’m torn between Aetna and an IBX HSA. It’s hard to predict which one will be the best over the next 10 years!
Thanks for taking the time to make the quotes easy to get! I didn’t have to give you my ss number which was nice. Individual plan rates look good. Will call you next week.
I ended up needing an individual plan so thanks for the information.
I just got your email after calling you. Thanks for the information and application.
I really liked your information on the different plans. Only for a school project but still very helpful! The “About Me” was great! I text a lot too.
Great job on showing the best individual plans. I applied and hopefully will be accepted!
Hi. I am in need of individual health insurance. I live in Gettysburg and would like a comprehensive plan. I think I found a few plans that will
provide the coverage I want at a decent rate. I’ll be in contact later this week.

Keystone HMO rates are pretty good for my area. I’m going with the $20 copay. I just realized maternity is included. That’s something we will need later.
Individual Pa rates are lower than I thought. I’m in the Pittsburgh area and am looking at Highmark or Aetna. I’ll copy the quotes you provided and call next week.
