Some of the companies we represent include Highmark,Keystone, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Capital Blue Cross,Independence Blue Cross, Geisinger, HealthAmerica, Celtic and Assurant. Yes...that's a big list!

HealthAmerica

HealthAmerica is part of Coventry Health Care, who is a diversified national managed health care company based in Bethesda, Maryland, managing health plans, insurance companies, rental and workers' compensation services companies. They were founded in 1986 and currently insure more than four million lives. They have a large Network, with over 47,000 hospitals countrywide, and have become one of the most popular Pennsylvania health insurers.

Some of Coventry's best policies are PPO plans with various deductible and copay options. The QHDHP series is one of the most popular low-cost plans in Pennsylvania, and is commonly used with HSAs. HealthAmerica also offers a "no deductible" plan, which features low out-of-pocket expenses on major claims. Also, in 2009, dental coverage started to be included in many of HealthAmerica's Pennsylvania plans.

Aetna

Aetna is one of the largest US health insurance companies. They were founded in 1850 and provide coverage in all 50 states. Aetna was ranked number 2 in the health care category in Fortune Magazine's 2007 and 2006 most Admired Companies lists.

They have a wide portfolio of products including comprehensive HMO policies (in some states) as well as lower-cost preventative coverage policies. The PPO plans are very popular in Pennsylvania...especially the PPO 2500 and PPO 5000 plans. Aetna's dental insurance is very affordable, and can be added to most of their individual and family plans for an approximate monthly cost of $15.

UnitedHealthOne

UnitedHealthOne (formerly UnitedHealthcare) serves more than 26 million clients. With 30 years of experience and 4700 Network hospitals across the US, UnitedHealthOne is one of the biggest players in the industry.

In Pennsylvania, they offer policies through its subsidiary, Golden Rule. The Copay policies and HSA  contracts are among their best options. UHC also offers one of the most competitively-priced catastrophic high deductible plans in the state-the "Saver 80" policy. Premiums are very inexpensive compared to most other plans offered in the state. The "Copay Select" and "Copay Saver" plans are two of the most popular comprehensive plans in Pennsylvania. The "Select" has unlimited covered office visit coverage while the "Saver" plan allows three covered office visits (per person).

Blue Cross

Blue Cross consists of four companies in Pennsylvania. Highmark Blue Cross serves Western Pennsylvania. Independence Blue Cross serves Southeastern Pennsylvania. Capital Blue Cross serves Central Pennsylvania. And Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania serves the Wilkes-Barre region.

A wide selection of plans is available with many copay and deductible options. Plans and rates can vary sharply by  area. HMOs and high deductible plans are very popular Pennsylvania Blue Cross health insurance plans and  rates are generally quite competitive when compared to other carriers. Most plans are medically-underwritten, although a few will offer guaranteed insurability. The "Personal Choice" policy in the Philadelphia area is an example of "guaranteed issue" plans.

Celtic

Celtic is a relatively young company, with just 30 years of experience. They have a diversified array of medical plans ranging from inexpensive basic plans to comprehensive plans featuring low out-of-pocket expenses. However, in most areas of the state, other Pennsylvania health insurance companies will be a better option. In most areas, their temporary plan options are worth considering.
